About Dubai Expat Life
By the time of writing this, I am a 26 years old male living in Dubai, United Arab Emirates with my wife since March 2009. I am working for a large multinational corporation and this is my second assignment out of the home city.
Having spent some hard time settling in here, I found out that I could be useful by highlighting some points that people don’t know of when they move. When I moved in, there was some information but it was either non-structured or official with almost no practical usefulness. I can call it even crappy in other words.
What I wanted to have when I moved is a kind of set of tips of a guy whose life, tastes and attitude is like mine, so that I could pick something useful from his experience. That didn’t happen.
I hope this website will help you to understand what it is to live in Dubai. I will try to keep it crap-free, meaning there are no offensive stuff, no annoying advertisement and blinking animation but structured content that could be easily found and read.

My name is Bojan Simunovic and I am the country manager at Move One Relocations UAE, based out of Dubai. We offer worldwide moving, pet and fine art transport, relocation, and logistic services.
One of the things I do on a regular basis is surf the net and explore for useful links, blogs, websites etc, which may help us develop business and raise the service up to a higher level. Last night I came across your blog and I really liked it. You’ve absolutely right, Dubai is not an easy place to settle in, and is especially hard if you are involved in customer service industry.
Through our website (www.moveoneinc.com) and blog (http://blog.moveone.info/), we are also trying to make people learn more about relocations in general. We find this very useful as it makes our job easier by preparing people for any difficulty they may face at new location they are moving to.
